What a difference!

Together, Flex Volunteers make a real difference! From July 2006 - June 2007,
7,308 Flex volunteers contributed 14,851 hours, giving back an equivalent of $302,366 in service to the San Diego community.

Here’s just some of what Flex Volunteers accomplished:

41,962		People received donations of food and clothing
16,285		Meals were served to homeless people
9,565		Animals at a local shelter were cared for
8,737		People with HIV/AIDS were served
4,268		Youth were tutored at local libraries
3,829		Seniors were served meals or enjoyed recreation activities provided by volunteers
3,356		Youth were cared for at shelters, women’s centers and after-school programs
355		Children and adults with disabilities enjoyed outings and therapeutic activities
119		Bags of trash were collected from beaches and local parks
